Hi,
I use TC in my every day use. On my desktop and my notebook. I have several FTPs in my TC Config with saved password included. This is very comfortable. But is it save? No. Everyone who has access for a few minutes to my notebook can copy the file with the encrypted passwords download TC and use it.
But I am too stupid to keep all passwords in mind. So what to do?
Here my suggestion. Why not add the option to set a masterpassword. Before I start the first FTP connection with a saved password I have to enter a master password. This password controls the access to the saved passwords. So no one can use my ftp config file without this password. An I am not stupid enough to forget 1 password.
So far - why not include a password safe in TC.
Thanks for reading.
regards
Mark
FTP Masterpassword - Normal ftp config is not really save.

It's already been requested and only waiting for TC 7.5 left:

Indeed TC7.5 will support that, but it will not save you from key loggers and similar malware...

If it will not save me from key-loggers... does it mean that #11 from features list has been abandoned?
Or maybe you giving general note that there is no 100% protection (even with it)?

Indeed what I meant is that there can't be 100% protection. If a user works with admin rights, a key logger can install itself as a driver, and there is nothing which could prevent or detect that. Also there are hardware keyloggers which can be plugged between the PC and the keyboard cable.
