I didn't refuse line numbers without a reason. Immagine you open a 100 MB log file and jump to the end to see the latest messages. To show line numbers, Lister would have to read the entire file from beginning to end to count all the line breaks. "Compare by content" does this, and really takes a long time for such large files. Lister can show such a file immediately.

It has "Text -- Gutter and line numbers" option.
Note: Font may be reset, font is saved under different inikey.

• The updated French LNG is sent… Just a remark :

- Prior, I used the very first 3.7 ß, it had not any LNG entry 268="&Gutter & line numbers...",
only the entry 269="&Gutter && line numbers...".
- Since it's well known that the double amperstand && is not rendered as a single one in the title-bars
(here, nothing instead), I used “and” as text (et in French), so the string was OK in the two places, button and title-bar…
- Doing so, that saves a line and avoids a useless (almost) duplicate…
- BTW : The button could be a bit wider, there is room remaining, so we could use a better string in French, for instance.

• Bug when testing the limitation of the gutter numbering, like shown on THAT IMAGE :

1. Set the limitation to the 200 first KiB,

2. Display a larger TXT file, i.e. the TC <History.txt> (359.5 KiB currently),

3. Scroll quickly beyond the numbered first part : When reaching the end of the file (or close), that error message pops up…

• This doesn't occur always, but here let's say in 70% of the tries.

BTW : There is not any C:\ProgView\… here !

• I tested the 3.71 about the new option :

Max count of line numbers:

- There is a minor bug : You get always one number in excess regarding the stated count, examples :
- Stated 1500, displayed up to 1501
- Stated 1600, displayed up to 1601 and so on…
- Since in computing one counts from "zero", it seems that a “ghost” #0 line is counted too…
