Universal Viewer - Lister alternative

ODD ZOOM…

• A weird thing I noticed, please try that follows :
1. Open any HTML file in UV,
2. Blow up the text (to max. or close)
3.Close UV "as is" (don't reset 1:1 original text size)
4. Open any HTML file from TC (2-click) supposing HTML is associated with IE (IE6 here) or Maxthon,
or any browser using the IE core,
The text is blown up to the same size you had set in UV formerly !
- To fix that, one way,
• Back to UV, reopen it with any HTML file, reset the size to 1:1 or less, close UV.
- Then, IE displays the pages with the right text sizes (those given by the CSS and¦or the markers)

Would it be possible to organize "Encodings menu" somehow?
Currently it is too huge imho. It might be good to take a look on Opera browser's "View -> Encoding" to have some nice ideas.
PS. As an option: possibility to have most recent codepages on top of menu or to disable not needed ones.

Hello,
UV shows correctly such a bitmap with alpha channel in toolbar and menus.
HTH
Regards.
X-Byte wrote:can you also handle png files? The icons use a transparency layer, that's why they turn white when you convert them to a bitmap, which unfortunately does not support transparency.
FYI: Not png files is necessary really. A BMP file with alpha channel is allowed too.Alextp wrote:No currently (bitmap only).

Help updated---

Hello Alexeï !
• The French Help is updated and available to download as usual.
• There are issues with the *.CUR file-type:
1. Whatever real size the image is, it's shown as “32²”.
Well, even if Win needs always that size, I think that the real one might be displayed,
since it's possible to draw any dimension, i.e. 11×15 or 48²…
2. Whatever colour mode the cursor has, it's displayed as “16 BPP” -even if black and white,
and without the inverted colour (R255 - G255 - B255 - Alpha0).
3. For cursors made in GFIE as 8BPP, the transparency is not rendered, it looks "grey"…
Any clue ?

A GFIE plug-in…
2Alextp
Hello Alexeï !
- Maybe a simple workaround should be to add an "Open with…" menu entry, or better to get a GFIE library as a plug-in ?
- I'll suggest that again to the author of GFIE, but he's very busy…
- If it isn't that very complicated to make a DLL (WLX) from this programme, we could get a nice plug-in
able to display .CUR properly "as is" and also in the ICLs - Win resources !

• That isn't very annoying for me since I use mainly GFIE with which I associated the CUR type now…I currently don't know how to process CURs, so the support is limited. …
