Show thumbnails in zip files
Would it be possible to show thumbnails in zip files?
I dont care if the thumbnails are not remembered. Just show them for the time I open the zip.
Currently I have to extract them to get the thumbs shown.

Unfortunately TC would have to extract all the files just to get their thumbnails...

From XnView ?

Hello !
• That's possible in XnView (Browser mode) for the most usual archives : ZIP - WinRar - SQX (from my request…).
- So, maybe some solution could be found, since TC can display thumb nails extracted by XnView
(which runs in a background thread in that case, IIUC) ?

*Bump*
I really like TC for the seamless integration of archives. I like pressing F3, F4 or or doubleclick on a file in the archive to show it in lister or editor etc. (without having to extract them, show them, delete temp files)
Show thumbnails in archives would be a good and logical extension. (I don't care if they are saved or not) In archives I often want to temporary view them.

The same here. Support++Show thumbnails in archives would be a good and logical extension. (I don't care if they are saved or not) In archives I often want to temporary view them
BTW Imagine now supports thumbnails in browse mode (when used as standalone). Imagine uses its cache also for the files inside archives.

If you want TC to create thumbs for zip files, just mount the zip with the PFM Audit Package.
Pismo Homepage, and a download friendly link to save on his bandwidth.
Though I don't know why you would want to, my tests show that particular aspect of TC to be abysmally slow and the thumb.db files are excessively large.
Or just mount the zip, and Open up IrfanView thumbnail view, or similiar.

Indeed it works. But to mount it I have to exit the archive (because Im usually inside an archive and think: Oh I want to see these files in Thumbnail mode), open contextmenu use mount, reenter the archive watch the files in Thumbnail mode, exit it again and unmount the archive.
Its perhaps a little bit faster then extracting them to a new folder, but I still prefer a buildin solution.
