UUE encoding is for posting a binary file in a forum which doesn't support attachments, but text only.

UUE just converts the binary into text and vice versa.

Once you have converted the "text" into an *.ICO file, you can add it to your DLL resource using an icon editor.

I tried Greenfish and kept getting an error about some DLL file missing in the Config directory. The file was there. I went back to Axialis IconWorkshop as it is easier and more powerful.

No problems here (I assume that DLL is iclstub.dll) but it's nice to hear that Axialis works for you. I prefer IcoFX (together with AniFX).

• Greenfish works perfectly here (and is gratis), the iclstub.dll in Config must be present, of course.
- In old versions, it was named iclstub.icl, if so, just rename it…
- It's only a kind of dummy pattern from which the programme can build ICLs…

Did you get that error with that DLL, too? Have you ever tried Axialis IconWorkshop? It is a windows program but makes Mac icons too.

It was there and it was a DLL. No matter what I tried, I always got the error when trying to save the library file. It got rather frustrating, to say the least.

No, no problems here. I wrote this DLL name because it exists in Config directory here and I assumed that you might be missing it.

Yes, I had tried Axialis (few years ago) and I didn't like it because: it was spamming my system too much and I don't need to buy product which I can easily replace with free one. IcoFX is good enough for my needs. It creates Mac icons too, even if I have completely no urge to have them.

But I use icons editors for last touch. If I want to create an icon I use Inkscape or Paint.NET / Artweaver for getting big PNG file. That way I have more editing possibilities in first place. So: polishing and building libraries, that is all what I want from icon apps. For extracting and viewing I use TC plugins

I suck at making and sort of decent icon. Art Weaver is good although I haven't used it lately. I will look at the other programs you mentioned. Thanks for the info.

Just one question - any progress regarding the already reported issue special characters in filenames?
In particular '$' causes some troubles and even more interesting is '&' which is able to completely freeze the TC.

I just used the latest cURL version (7.19.5) and this problem seems to have vanished. I can use the '$' and '&' character in file names in SCP mode now.

I have been using this plugin with 0.94 version and total commander 7.5 pb3 and icons of connections don't change of color when i connect with servers. ¿Somebody knows why?.

Moreover it is quite strange, because if the "\\\Secure FTP\" tab is on the rigth side none icons appears in green, but if this tab is on the left side only appears in green the second one.

Sorry, but I can not confirm your report.
Checked here with 4 different connections at the same time, but the icon colour is changed when active.
On the right side as also on the left side.

I have tried again and i think is a problem with the refresh of the directories.
For example, i have connected with 3 connections at the same time and on the left side doesnt't appear locks in green but on the right side appear the three locks in green.
Moreover if i disconnect every connections, the color of the locks doesn't change. I attach the next image with this case:

You can see there isn't any sftp connection (does't appear sftp logs window) but there are green locks
¿Any idea about this problem?
