Can F4Menu use the same rules as Total or files extensions only?

TC extreme example: I can set notepad to open text files from December 2008 larger than 1MB, Notepad++ for text files not older than 1 hour and PSPad for the rest. I can also set different audio players based on Artist name or… graphic files with $work$ in comments opens in Paint.NET while the rest is handled by XnView :)
How do you set to to open files of specific size and dates? I hadn't seen that.
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

How do I un-overwrite all my data?

File -> Internal associations -> Add -> Define

Now you can not only write down some extensions but also use advanced files attributes and plugins info. It works the same way as files colouring!

To Boofo

It's the same as you do with "Find files" dialogue.
In "Internal associations" dialogue click "Add", then in "Specify file type" dialogue click "Define...", then you will see it.

5. Drag&Drop to breadrcumb bar
I didn't know yet but it's a good point... Th@nks!

I use also an old feature 'favorites' folders or applications, but recently I have discovered the action letter (like in an internal association) set with &.
Why?
With the keyboard, I can access very easy and convenient &Desktop with Ctrl+D,D , &Program Files with Ctrl+D,P and &Total Commander directory with Ctrl+D,T and so on.

These are oldies but goodies.

My question is why when ''favorites'' menu is activated with the mouse (dbl click on path) the activation letter is not shown as when is activated with Ctrl+D?
Can anybody tell me why?

And of course my favourite new features are few (not only one):
1) Internal association with internal associations menu show
2) Quick search filter + Samuel's great add-on.
3) Button bar (spread on multiple lines, sub-bar edit, shown as menu) + Samuel's add-on (+CTRL), TCMenu (default button from sub-bar)
4) Win Key + more keyboard combination available
5) Copy to multiple locations
My Best Wishes,

Eugen

Hello, eugensyl.
My question is why when ''favorites'' menu is activated with the mouse (dbl click on path) the activation letter is not shown as when is activated with Ctrl+D?
Can anybody tell me why?
Well, it depends on your Windows version and on a particular display setting.

On Vista, the default Windows behaviour is to underline accelerator keys only in case you have activated a menu using the keyboard, usually by pressing the alt-key.
(Should be something like Display => Properties => Display => Advanced => Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation, activate by pressing ALT)

As a consequence, one fine day I realized that this setting affected T.C. as well:
If I open a menu using the mouse, the accelerator keys will be functional, but they will not be underlined.
If I open a menu using the keyboard, the accelerator keys will be underlined and functional.

On WinXP, the setting has been disabled, by me or by default, I guess by me. As a consequence it does not matter whether a menu is opened by a mouse click or by the keyboard, the the accelerator keys will always be underlined.

So we are not facing a T.C. bug, but a Windows feature. In case Lefteous wants to file a bug nonetheless, I guess he will have to contact Microsoft about it.

Does this answer the question?

Kind regards,
Karl

There are indeed a lot of new features, and I must say I quickly adopted most of them :)

But here is my ranking of the most used:
1. Quick search filter (Ctrl+S)
2. Breadcrumb bar
3. Internal associations

2fenix_productions,

I've been using Internal Associations but never really looked very deep into them apparently. I'll have to play with them a bit now. Thanks! ;)

2vic2009,

Thanks for verifying that. ;)

Maybe it's easier (I don't know) but I think there is no need for something in the middle if TC can do the same.

I forgot to add mine earlier. They are:
  • Button bar menus
  • Internal Associations
  • Google-like Quick Search
chmod a+x /bin/laden -- Allows anyone the permission to execute /bin/laden

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

It must be by you. As I reported years ago, this stupid setting is activated by default also in XP: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=118131#118131
