How about add quick filter with "dir *.xxx" comman

Post by *mingyan »

It's a must have function but not include in totalcmd any version ... :(

I can type "dir *.jpg" in command line and show filterd file in file list window.

I hope this functiom can replace the Ctrl-F10,Ctrl-F11,Ctrl-F12 ....

When will this function be added into future version of TC ???

This has been suggested before. The command should be simply "*.jpg" or ">*.jpg". The command "dir *.jpg" calls the windows command line program. Type "cmd /k dir *.jpg" to see the result.
On The other hand I don't see an advantage in comparison to pressing Num+ and typing the filter. It's an advantage when using user defined selection, but not for simple filters.

By the way, I'm still hoping for a reply on that thread from Christian: "I will add it in version..."
