Network drive lags
I have Win XP 32 with 15 mapped network drives, and I have many lags since I installed this RC1 version. Today I must return back to v7.04a because the lags was 10-15 seconds. When I go to network drive i must wait some little time to read the directories (2-3 seconds(this is normal)) and when TC shows directories i must again wait (10-15 seconds) for something...
I try to copy some files because I think that the problem is in the NAS, but the speed was normal (5MB/s).
It is something new in TC7.5, something like additional window refresh?

I have a mapped network drive that I access from my notebook PC (Windows 7 Professional Final Release).
When accessing a large directory on the mapped drive from within my LAN or WLAN, there seem to be no problems, but when accessing it from a WAN connection (UMTS/HSDPA via vodafone.de), which is slow compared to LAN/WLAN access, TCMD 7.5 (Release version) seems to hang in a window refresh loop. It starts refreshing before the directory is completely listed, and starts listing it again.
It usually gets to a point where I have to kill TCMD via ProcessExplorer because it won't respond any more.
Going back to 7.04a right now, but waiting anxiously for a fix.
Keep up the good work!

I'm not aware of any changes which could be causing that, sorry.
Do you use any of the refresh options in Configuration - Options - Refresh?

Do you use icon overlays? Try turning them off. If this doesn't help, does it help to turn off icons altogether?

Do you have 1hourdif=1 in your INI? Maybe setting this to 0 helps speeding up:

The value for 1hourdif is 0.Do you have 1hourdif=1 in your INI?
I've the same problem as StatusQuo http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=24034. After pressing Shift+F2 it takes a while to read the directory list. Testing with TC 7.04a all is fine.
I've found another strange effect. For example I'm working in the left window in the directory N:\documents. After changing with ALT+F1 to drive M: I get a dialog "Connecting to M:\documents" but there is no dircetory "documents". Is it possible that TC stores the last used dircetory?
Drive N: and M: are mapped network-drives. Testing with TC 7.04a all is fine or it's so fast that I didn't see the connecting-dialog.

Yes, TC remembers the last directory where you were on a drive, and tries to return there.I get a dialog "Connecting to M:\documents" but there is no dircetory "documents". Is it possible that TC stores the last used dircetory?
If you don't want this, add the line
AlwaysToRoot=1
to your wincmd.ini under [Configuration].

No, of course not - TC remembers the last directory ON THAT DRIVE. If you didn't visit the drive in that session, it uses GetCurrentDirectory.
How exactly did you try to switch to the drive when it showed the "Connecting to M:\documents" message?

For example I'm working in the left TC window in N:\documents and copying files to c:\backup. After copying all files I switch to drive M: while pressing ALT+F1.How exactly did you try to switch to the drive when it showed the "Connecting to M:\documents" message?
Sometimes I get the dialog "Connecting to M:\documents". Then you can see that the directory list is growing very slow.
