Trouble with Winrar

I seem to be having some trouble with Winrar. I am using 3.30 beta 4 and when I attempt to create an archive, I receive the following error:

! Cannot open C:\Documents
The system cannot find the file specified.
! c:\Temp\keeper.rar: Cannot open and
The system cannot find the file specified.
! c:\Temp\keeper.rar: Cannot open Settings\defaultuser\Local
The system cannot find the path specified.
! c:\Temp\keeper.rar: Cannot open Settings\Temp\CMD251.tmp
The system cannot find the path specified.

This error is in the Winrar diagnostic message window.

I am attempting to archive a single file in one pane (d:\download) to another pane (c:\temp) when I receive this error.

I think that the problem first appeared with 3.30 beta 3, but I am not 100% certain of that. I do know that it was still working as of beta 1.

Uninstall WinRAR, delete key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinRAR if it's still there and reinstall.

No luck on the uninstall. The uninstall routine removed the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinRAR registry key and only left a HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WinRAR SFX, which I also deleted. Then reinstalled the beta, with the same results.

I will try the uninstall again, only I will reinstall the non-beta version.

No luck again. The non-beta version (3.2) is still responding with the same error.

Any other ideas?

In the RAR packer configuration, are you using :
C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe ?
For most of us this works fine.

It is in the default location: C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe

The strange thing is that it has worked for a very long time, but it now has the same error at work and at home.

Delete the content of your temp folders, %systemroot%\temp and %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp

If that doesnt work please describe exactly what you do till you encounter the error.

Maybe post a screenshot with both panels and the packer dialog before you press OK and one with the error message after pressing OK, too.
