Copy to network share stops at about 3MB

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Copy to network share stops at about 3MB

Post by *mikey »

When copying a file to a windows network share with a slow bandwith (company vpn), the transfer stops at about 2.5MB-3MB (perhaps by timeout) with error message "Please remove write protection". The file on the destination share is broken.

A Network analysis shows an [RST,ACK] on tcp port 445. The same operation succeeds on windows explorer. Tested OS is Windows 7 64bit.

Thank you for your support

TC uses the default Windows function CopyFileEx for copying now. Since this function is part of Windows, it shouldn't fail if everything is fine with the system.

Since the Explorer method works for you, you can use it also in Total Commander (Cut+Paste): Ctrl+X Tab Ctrl+V.
