Update:

After removing my TWinkey: global background "green" reset,
TwinKey no longer changes the Background2 from it's original color.

As well the global background green reset is no longer required with the current version of TwinKey, when a path doesn't match an AutoSwitch - any backgrounds (images, etc) are removed -- when switching paths via Tabs or Changing directory.

Sticking my nose in here to say I have never been able to use TWinKey because it always crashes TC after a few minutes. This has happened with all versions of TWinKey including the latest one, and each new version of TC.

I can't offer a method to reproduce the crashes because they seem to happen at random and sometimes without any user (i.e. my) input.

It only takes a few minutes for TWinKey and TC to crash, not even enough time to configure TWinKey to my liking.

Wish I had more info to share, but...

The delay problem is fixed in the new version. If you want I can send this version to you by mail.

Can you check this crash with both empty wincmd.ini and TWinKey.ini files?
If it will run without crash you can figure out the problematic settings or send me files that caused crash.
If there still crash with empty files I can prepare special TWinKey build for you with diagnostic logging.

I used to get odd crashes for no apparent reason in prior instances - though it was not frequent enough to particularly worry about: I set an automatic save of TC's state every 10-15 mins -- so the worst that happens is I might lose a tab or 2.

Now the one thing that for sure crashes TC when TwinKey is active: Is unload plugins -- that is something I really don't need to do: I've probably done that less than a dozen times in 6 years. Now when/if I do need to, I just toggle the autoStart of TwinKey, shutdown TC and restart. To me that is a very small sacrifice for the workflow conveniences I get when using TwinKey.

On startup of the TwinkUtil.exe it doesn't parse a redirect for [Shortcuts] in the wincmd.ini

Get a MsgBox,
---------------------------
TWinKey Utilisator (Class B)
---------------------------
Hotkey 'RedirectSection' is assigned to the undefined command 'wincmd_Shortcuts.ini'.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Also, Has there been any headway in how to Unload TwinKey so that one can Unload Plugins without crashing TC? Would it be possible to add to the TwinkUtil.exe ?

1. Yes, currently TWinKey dowsn't support redirection.
2. The new version includes fix for unloading.
by the way, how to cancel a unwanted key-bind except edit the ini file
Just erase "New Hotkey" field.

Hi
I cannot make this plug in work :( I am trying to get the sticky folder stuff work pretty much. I have assigned a shortcut in for it the utility. When I fire the shortcut nothing is really happening I have no idea why it is not working?

edit: It turns out that I was using an older version sorry about that.

Another question if you do not mind. Is there a way to make a folder to be sticky in every folder I browse? It is like a global stick.

thanks

After upgrading to TC 8.0 twinkey bookmarks and stickies aren't working anymore. Utilizator shows that bookmark and sticky hotkeys are correctly defined but nothing happens when I press them (while the hotkey I assigned to the clock plugin works fine). Bookmarked and stickied files aren't colorized anymore.
Also the right-click tab colorization menu doesn't show up anymore when I right-click a tab. Tabs aren't colorized anymore.
Suggestions on how to troubleshoot/fix, anyone please?

Windows XP Pro SP3 English 32-bit, TC 8.0 version 32-64 bit combined. Twinkey 3.105.
