:D Thank you very much, Alex!

The standalone beta works fine here.
Will future versions of the plugin also support *.bak writing?

After startup go into menu "Run". Items "(no command)" are active (black) for a short while. Then after 0.5 seconds they gets inactive (grey).

I've searched since some weeks a fast, not too sophisticated editor, a pure texteditor, for my php files. Your product Syn2 is absolutely phantastic and, as a special gimmick, in my mother tongue german.
Thank you very much for coding and develope this editor, it's really great.

Thx. It's great to see that other users like the german translation. And the user is right: You did a lot of work and now Syn2 is a phantastic and powerful editor!

How to improve visual text quality in Windows Vista & 7

A very long time I had ignored the font smoothing technologies in Windows called Cleartype. I had completly disabled it and Syn with its default font "Courier New" looks very good and sharp. But now I have decided to use my Windows 7 at its default font settings with Cleartype enabled. But I have to learn that "Courier New" is not rendered well. It looks unsharp and blurry now. This is generally a Windows problem. It's no misbehaviour of Syn itself.

I was looking for another font that is optimized for cleartype. It's a good idea to use a monospaced font. In these fonts all characters have the same width. In windows 7 there are fonts "Consolas" and "Lucida Console", but both fonts doesn't fits my needs. After searching I found another great font that is monospaced and free for use, because it's under GNU General Public License: Liberation Mono

So if you would give this font a try, you can get it here: https://fedorahosted.org/liberation-fonts/
After downloading Binary (ttf) package install file "LiberationMono-Regular.ttf"

For me these settings look best:
Font size: 10pt
line spacing: 2pt
Change font for lexers: Open \hl\lexlib.lxl in Syn and replace string "Courier New" to "Liberation Mono".

Backup file lexlib.lxl before, so you can revert changes if you don't like it. But maybe you like this font as much as me.

What a pity, synpad sounds nice. SynEdit and SynPlus are also not free.
What about SynPad Plus or SynEdit Plus? Also possible SynPad+ / SynEdit+
(a bit similar to Notepad++)
