Network drive is powered down - HUGE pause

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Network drive is powered down - HUGE pause

Post by *5h17h34d »

If my Media Center goes into sleep mode and I had one of the drives from it opened in a pane of TC on my main machine, when I maximize TC it takes FOREVER to reconcile this.

I'm better off crashing it manually and restarting.

Is there a timeout setting in the ini possibly for lost network drives?

No, I can't. Window gets the typical transparent white "not responding" look to it.

Win7 HP x64
TC 755a

Machine network drive is on is Win7 HP x86.

Strange, TC is calling FindFirstFile in a background thread now, and allows to abort it when it hangs.

Maybe something else hangs, e.g. loading of tooltips? Try turning them off in Configuration - Options - Display.
