SDExplorer
Hello
I am looking for a plugin which is able to replace SDExplorer. This SDExplorer is an easy tool to upload into your skydrive (windows live storage for free 25 gigas) instead of going through windows live site very boring. Only one drawback SDExplorer is a windows explorer like, just one windows.May be there is a way to do it with total commander but until now I have not find it.
SDExplorer site:
http://www.cloudstorageexplorer.com/
it seems that there is already a plugin:SkyDriveWfx 0.8.1,I will try it

Gladinet incompatibilities with TC?
I have read some posts on Gladinet forum about the incompatibilities between Gladinet Cloud Desktop and TC. I could not find any details, but at least the issue was somewhere in the way TC copies (maybe also deletes) files, as GCD relies on some messages being sent to recognise that a synchronisation task has to be created.
The maker of GCD confirms that they only support Windows Explorer. Do you know anything more about this issue? Should I put TC in the Explorer mode for copying to be sure that it all works?

I've just started testing Gladinet out. I don't see any reason why it would make any difference using it with Windows Explorer or Total Commander. After all, it makes a virtual drive (Z:\ by default, which you can change) which you use as any other.
We'll see, though. The drive name in TC is a bit different from Windows Explorer:
My Gladinet Drive (Z:) in Explorer
\\127.0.0.1\DavWWWRoot\resources (z:) in TC

Unfortunately I can confirm the problem. My collection of photos was copied to the Z drive and I could see them in SkyDrive using the Web interface. Unfortunately, when reading a file FROM the Z drive IrfanView reported always problems with reading the file's header, co I am afraid the file has been corrupted while copying. Moreover, when doing drag and drop in Windows Explorer, Gladinet displayed some dialog box, whereas if I copy the files in TC, the task is created, but no dialog is displayed.
What OS are you using? Because I received the dialog box when working in TC (but only in certain cases, and I could choose not to be bothered again). I even mounted an anonymous FTP server site.
So far the only issue I encountered was OneNote notebook file(s) in the root of SkyDrive have no extensions, and they disappear if you do anything to them. But I'm not sure if this is a TC-related issue or an issue between Gladinet and SkyDrive. (Live.com's web office apps save files to the root, whereas SkyDrive per-se - or at least when accessing it with Gladinet Desktop - will not let the files be on the root.)

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. For now I can correctly use Gladinet after copying via Explorer. I think I will have to set up a shortcut running TC with the configuration requesting the Explorer copying method
It would be nice, if Christian could get in touch with the Gladinet developers to see, what is necessary to have TC working with the Gladinet drive. Maybe we could have an option to use the Explorer copying mode, when source or target is the given drive (the Gladinet drive) - in a similar way, as we have to define drives for which the compatibility mode should be used.

I'm on Win7 also (but the 64-bit version). So far I've only used moving or copying files between local directories and accounts in Gladinet, or between the accounts in Gladinet (e.g. from Google Docs to SkyDrive). Maybe I haven't stressed the system hard enough to encounter the problems.
Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is "the Explorer copying method" in TC?
Gladinet truly seems one of the most ingenious things I've seen around the net lately (kinda like Pidgin was years ago, when we were looking for a way to join all different IM account under the same roof
).
Then again, shouldn't ZumoDrive and Wuala also cause problems when used within TC?
I mean, they also make use of a "virtual" drive for accessing their storage.
