Command browser: Rename/copy picks next available usercmd#

Post by *magz »

It would be very nice if the "Rename/copy..." button of the Command Browser would set the next available em_usercmd# available (in a similar way to how the "New..." button does) when the "keep copy of existing command" is checked

So what I want is the name of the command to be copied to be automatically replaced by the lowest available free slot, once the user clicks that checkbox. Don't see the need to rename it back to the original nr if checkbox is unchecked either, as it could be a nice feature for button renaming also.

It would save me a lot of time when making copies of my existing commands to make new with slight parameter adjustments.

E.g. I have a command named em_MsCabPacker. And I want to make a copy with e.g. name em_MsCabPackerHere. It will be quite unuseful for me if TC replace name with something like em_usercmd1 so I will need to re-enter almost full name of command.

So this feature may be useful only for default names like em_usercmd123.

I never call my commands using default names, I prefer to use meaningful names.
