Even after I get the message TC is granted superuser permission, the system is not mounted r/w.
I still need an other program to set the system r/w before I can use TC.
Can somebody confirm that?
mount r/w

You must use for this internal command "119 Remount (requires root access)". Read second post.
TC 7.56a, Win 7 x64
TC for Android 1.0 rc1, HTC Desire | rooted stock Gingerbread (3.14.405.1) | S-OFF

Tanks for your reply,
I overlooked this topic somehow.
I agree with coment of androidgoodies. It shoold be implemented in TC like it is in Es File Exlorer. There you can just switch it on and off.
For any thing else, I like TC better. Not in the least for its two screens.
I'm glad there is a android version with all those possibillities.
Keep on the good work.

I have the same problem.
Acer a501 with original OS 4.0.3 and root.
I use the internal command and have error "remount faild! mount: permition denied (are you root?)" but Root explorer can remount system. This problem is appear only with /system partition. /, vendor and other remounting without problems.
If mount /system to r/w by Root explorer, then remounting to r/o in TC going without errors.
My friend have Galaxy note 2 and he haven't such error.
If by SuperSu set user Root nothing change, if set system or mount TC doesn't respond. Making TC the system app don't help too.
If somebody have ideas, I am ready to experiments.

Normally remounting /system fails if a program is accessing system. I don't know how root explorer can remount it when it is in use, sorry.
