Dropping message from Outlook into TC file panel

Post by *icepack »

Hi,

I've encountered a non-standard behavior when tried to drop a message from Outlook (.msg file) onto TC file panel. Normally, when dropping a file, if file with the same name exists, the standard pop up is displayed (skip, overwrite, rename etc.). This time, this pop up wasn't displayed and the only options that appeared were to skip or overwrite (this is a 100% scenario on my machine). Dropping a file attachment from Outlook message onto TC file panel resulted in normal behavior.

Thanks, but that's not it. I'm able to drag-n-drop, but the dialog that appears includes only overwrite and skip options. Anyway, I've played with privileges of both outlook and TC and the result was the same.

Could you post a screenshot of the overwrite dialog? I guess that TC is getting some OLE object, so it just calls "Paste" and lets Windows handle the rest. You should see a Windows dialog and not a TC dialog then.

Unfortunately the image was already no longer available when I tried to view it. :(

Could you send it to beta at ghisler dot com, please?

Can someone with Outlook (not Express!) test this please with beta 10? I have added some code, but cannot test it because no program I have sends data with this format...

Seems to be fixed
Outlook2010 x86 / TC 8.0ß10 x86+x64 / Win7 x64

The TC overwrite dialog appears.
Manual and auto-rename does work.

Regards
Holger
