FTP/Button Bar files

Post by *Rono007 »

Does anyone know where the files are stored that hold the Button Bar settings and the FTP settings? Do you know the filenames? I'm setting up a new laptop and I'm trying to avoid reconfiguring my TC.

Cheers in advance.

The button bar settings are at 'default.bar' and possibly 'default.br1' usually in the windows directory or the TC directory.
the FTP- Settings are in the 'wincmd.ini' even there.

Not exactly but :

Commander settings at 'wincmd.ini'
FTP settings at 'wcx_ftp.ini'

Location of files are shown at menu item "Help - About..."

One only needs to backup the .bar files (if you have more) excluding the no.bar file which is simply an empty Button Bar. The .br1 files are automatically created bitmaps of the Button Bars, so TC doesn't have to extract all the icons each time. The .br1 files are recreated if they don't exist for a .bar file, so there's no need to back them up.
