Cannot reproduce. I tried it with these cases:
1. TC is permantently attached to the taskbar -> right click on taskbar icon, then right click on "Total Commander", then set to minimized
2. TC is NOT attached to the taskbar -> right click on Desktop icon ,set to minimized
All this was tested on Windows 7 x64.
What are you doing differently?
1. TC is permantently attached to the taskbar -> right click on taskbar icon, then right click on "Total Commander", then set to minimized
2. TC is NOT attached to the taskbar -> right click on Desktop icon ,set to minimized
All this was tested on Windows 7 x64.

I tested that in virtualbox (win7 x64 English )again.And this time tc started properly .
Maybe it's a os language problem.(My computer was installed a Chinese OS)

Thank you for remind me of the ini file thing.
I found that:
I tested it on virtualbox {change 1440x900 to 1440x791(screen resolution of my vitualbox)}.
Confirmed.

Hi, now I can confirm this bug.
If wincmd.ini contains "Maximized=1" for your current screen resolution and you set TC to start minimized (using Explorer's File properties dialog), you get this:
Image: http://i39.tinypic.com/2s0fxtw.jpg
When you close that window and remove one of those settings, TC will start working again. However, for some reason, TC modified my wincmd.ini during that crash:
1. panel settings were reset (sections [Left] and [Right])
2. QuickSearchAutoFilter=1 => 0
3. Show=1 => 2
The rest of wincmd.ini was unchanged (I had a backup to compare).
This bug occurs only in 64b version of TC. Tested TC80b16 running on english Win 7 x64.
