Search will not be Saved...

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Hello, bytestar.

If you wish to make Total Commander save a set of search parameters you have to use the [Save] button, assign a name to the set of search parameters and save it.
If you wish to make Total Commander use a set of previously saved search parameters you have to use the [Load] button, select the set of saved search parameters from the list and use it by clicking on the button [Start Search].

This is true for Total Commander 7.56a as well as Total Commander 8.0ß16, 32-bit and 64-bit.
This is true for any Windows version which can run the current Total Commander versions. This is even true for Total Commander run on Wine v1.2.3 and Linux Mint 12.

In case the above explanation does not solve the problem which you experience when using the Total Commander Search function (<Alt><F7>), you might give a few more details on what the problem is and on how to reproduce it.

Kind regards,
Karl
