[8.0ß18] SyncDir, rename by click not working with filter

Post by *Flint »

1. Create two dirs with several same-named files so that there were both some identical and some different files. You can take this archive as an example:

Code: Select all

MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="test.rar"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="test.rar"

2. Start SyncDirs for these two directories, press Compare.
3. Now find the first line containing the different couple of files (in case of the archive given above, this is b.txt), and unpress the filter button with the same direction arrow (that is, hide b.txt from the list).
4. Try to rename the file a.txt by clicking its name: it works fine.
5. Now try to rename c.txt by clicking its name: nothing happens. (F6/Shift+F6 however still works.)

General conclusion: all files that are located below the first hidden (filtered out) line cannot be renamed by cliking on their names.

Confirmed.
Thank you for finding this. I had doubts in myself if my clicking timing is correct or not. (sometimes it worked)

Actually, it's not me who found this, but several users on the Russian forum. :) And it took some time before the real reasons were discovered.

Thank them for finding it.
Спасибо им за их нахождение. (Google translation of: "Thank them for finding it.")

Cannot reproduce anymore in 8.0β19, so seems to be fixed.

Thanks! I was using the index in the list in one location, and the index in the structure holding all names in the other...
