:D  Hello!

• To delete all dirs in the quoted case, you must change the dirs sorting mode:

Options >>> Configuration >>> Display { Sorting Directories }
>>> Tick the radio-box: "Like files (also by time)"

:mrgreen: Kind regards,
Claude

Why do you have to change the sorting mode in order to delete directories? That makes no sense!

You should not ask Clo but Christian. I've tried it , and though it makes no sense does it work :lol: .

It's a problem with SortUpper=2, because all 3 directories are the same for this function (natural sorting). A workaround is already implemented, and will be in TC 6.02.

BTW if I use sort_upper=2 the german "ä ö ü" wil be sorted after "z" and not as desired for me like "a o u" or "ae ao ue". I guess it is a sorting problem and it wouldn't bother me if there were a command to switch the sorting with button. But now it's annoying each time I want to switch the order to open wincmd.ini, change the value and restart TC.

Could you implement such function, please?

I had already read the thread but had in mind, that Christian refused to implement a sort switch function. So I thought I give it another try :wink:

I presume (correct me if I'm wrong) that the natural sorting feature is applicable only for English or non-unicode cases. I could only imagine the complexity of the task to put into consideration all possible language scenarios for sorting in natural form!

In that thread says Lefteous that the Explorer can do the right sorting method. And he's guessing wich routine is used. And Christian answered the he will take a look at this function.

Try to do the sorting in Polish :) That is complex. What about situation where in one alphabet there is one order of sorting and in another special characters are in different order. That would need a possibility to add your own characters to sorting table. If it was editable then it would be good.
Talking about Explorer - it performs correct sorting of Polish characters, but I have Polish version. I am not sure sorting would be correct on non-polish systems.

BTW: I am using TC 6.02 and deleting all those dirs 1, 01, 001 works fine!
