TC 8.01RC2 x32 quick Del+Enter paused the operation

Post by *Helix751 »

The change-log states RC1 fixed quick Del+Enter behaviour with VistaDelete method by disabling the Cancel button for 2 secs, but this doesn't work in RC2 as the default button is 'Pause', not 'Cancel'.

This way, a quick Del+Enter does indeed pause the operation and there's need to click Resume for performing the actual delete operation.

Here's a screencap of the operation. Note the focused 'Pause' button on the underlying confirmation dialogue. (also, please note my system and TCmd are set to Spanish):

Cannot confirm, sorry - also not when setting the language to Spanish. It seems that you use some tool or mouse driver which changes the focus of the button from Cancel to the first button (Pause). Since the Pause button isn't disabled, you will invoke it when you press Enter too early.

Christian, I rolled back to v8.0 x32 and button focus looks Ok.

It seems that given the Cancel button got disabled since v8.01rc1, focus and default action are automatically moved to the (next) available control (Pause).

Here's an updated v8.01rc2 capture, with the underlying Cancel button still greyed-out:

Maybe disabling both controls for the 2 sec lap?
Q: Is it necessary to display the TCmd confirmation dialogue when VistaDelete=1?

Sergio

Maybe I need to disable both buttons - or not disable them, but ignore the keypress somehow...
