Total Commander 6.02 beta 3 available (public beta)
Dear users of Total Commander!
A public beta version of Total Commander 6.02 is now available! I'm offering this beta to the public to allow all those who found a bug/problem in Total Commander 6.01 to check whether the bug/problem is gone or not. If you try the beta, I would appreciate your feedback here in the forum!
You can download it here: Sorry, the beta test is over!
Please note: You need to have the 'referer' field enabled - it tells my host that you are coming from this server. This should prevent others from linking to this file. Some firewalls may block this field.
You can find the list of corrections in tc602fixes.txt.
Happy testing! Please report any bugs/problems in this thread!

Doesn't work...
Hello Mr. Ghisler,
Sorry, that doesn't work for downloading. I use MyIE2, without any proxy (I just disabled it). I don't see any "referer field" anywhere...
¤ I get everytime the HTML-file " Download refused ... etc"
• Please, have you another way to download this beta ?
Best regards,
Claude

automatic background transfer manager window
It was meant as using it always when copying/renaming/deleting well if yes, do I need to enable it in .ini file?https://plugins.ghisler.com/pubbeta/tc602fixes.txt
20.01.04 Added: Allways open background transfer manager window in upper left corner if no other transfer manager open
It doesn't work for me like I think according to whatsnew.txt but I didn't see anything about setting it, yes there is a chance that maybe I am blind

Anyway can it be set to use it automatically when copying/renaming/deleting, because I really like that idea with background transfer manager window and would like to use it all the time, since the list can be easily managed during transfer.
I have an idea about some additions for this, like choice if the operation(s) in background transfer manager window will be started imediately/or paused and to allow put it in the tray with progress/precent gauge like it is with the main window.
Anyway thanks for background transfer manager window it is great feature atleast for me

That means that it opens in the upper left corner and nowhere else, if it is the only BTM. It doesn't mean that it is being opened for all background operations automatically.20.01.04 Added: Always open background transfer manager window in upper left corner if no other transfer manager open
It's been here for some time...Anyway thanks for background transfer manager window it is great feature atleast for me

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Yes I understand it now but I want to ask if the behavior I suggested could be implemented in TC, I think for ppl who are used to work with background transfer manager window will be probably interested in that idea I wrote above, anyone else who have the same opinion maybeHacker wrote:That means that it opens in the upper left corner and nowhere else, if it is the only BTM. to Hacker:
Ano tusim uz od ver 6.0

Having an option like AlwaysCopyInBTM has been suggested several times, also during the beta period, I am sure Christian knows about this wish.

1.
If I have 'my Computer' open in one panel, move the cursor to a drive and choose 'quickview', A dialog appears "search path not found" and after that, quickview no longer works (nothing happens when I try to select QV again) this is the same with Execution per Buttonbar and CTRL+Q. After a TC restart, everything is OK. This is reproducible.
I use TC 6.02beta3 on Win XP.
2.
The new Rename-Option to have only Filenames w/o extension selected is great!
-Feature Request Removed (02/28/04)
[First, I added a Feature Request here, but I removed it to keep this Thread only for Bug reports, sorry, I will keep that in mind]
BTW, I also noticed that the little Quickview bug I mentioned here in the german forum is already fixed in 6.02 beta3
. Thats what I call support at lightning speed, although it was a minor bug. Many thanks for that

The result list is a single selection listbox, therefore you cannot select multiple items. It wouldn't make sense for the other functions either (e.g. go to file).SUKER wrote:Thanks for new beta, and especial for " Added: Search: right click on result list item selects it and then shows its context menu "
But, when it will be possible to choose multiple items in result list?????
No, you misinterpreted this option: It affects only the location where the dialog box is placed. The option to always copy via btm hasn't been added yet, version 6.02 is only a bugfix version. AlwaysCopyInBTM is still planned for a later version.cuiviemen wrote:It was meant as using it always when copying/renaming/deleting well if yes, do I need to enable it in .ini file?
Well done, thanks! For now I will leave it like it is, but re-enable quick view. I will try to find out why it doesn't work with drives in a later version.StickyNomad wrote:If I have 'my Computer' open in one panel, move the cursor to a drive and choose 'quickview', A dialog appears "search path not found" and after that, quickview no longer works (nothing happens when I try to select QV again) this is the same with Execution per Buttonbar and CTRL+Q. A long time ago I suggested to add an option to auto rename all files that already exists when I'm draggin from one window to another when I've not set the Options-Misc-GetConfirmation-Drag. Something like a button Rename all whe the first file repeated is found and the same options that I have when I've set the get confirmation when I drag

For example, it is necessary to find N groups of M files, and all of them to open in editor. If N = 1 or 2 that certainly without problems, but if N more than 2 - 10, 20 and more... I tired to do search, then feed to lb., then open files in editor, then again to do search, and so on by circle of 10 timesghisler(Author) wrote:The result list is a single selection listbox, therefore you cannot select multiple items. If result list is a multi selection listbox, when I select multiple items, other functions ("go to file","view")
are disabled, but I can right click, and select "open in editor" in context menu.
Also, it would be desirable possibility to press f4 on the selected file (when multiple items are selected, this function also disable).
