Try Shift+End instead, it's a standard shortcut of every edit control.za222 wrote:if you activate an InPlaceRename but you want to change/select the WHOLE filename it would be great if you could press CTRL-A in order to do this.

Please use this thread only for BUG reports for beta 3, not for suggestions! It's too late anyway to add any new features to version 6.02 now.

For the asymmetric sync directory function, I'm not sure I like the idea of delete before copy. Are you only deleting the files that don't exist on the primary drive? Or are you also deleting first, the outdated files that will be replaced by newer files? If the former, then no problem. If the latter, then I'd like the option.
one minor thing
Since version 6.0, when I have multiple instances running of TC, these instances are numbered (in the Windows taskbar). Personally, I find this annoying and I was hoping for a setup function where I could turn this "option" off. So what I mean, if I open two Total Commanders, the first one is called "Total Commander 6.01", the second is called "[2] Total Commander 6.01". If possible I would like to remove the "[2]"

bug #1: when "Copy date/time of directories" is on, it does not function when unzipping a directory from archive
bug #2: cannot unzip&view (F3) more than one file with the same name (let have an archive containing "file.txt" and "folder\file.txt" and try to view them both in Viewer - the first one will be overwritten)
bug #2: cannot unzip&view (F3) more than one file with the same name (let have an archive containing "file.txt" and "folder\file.txt" and try to view them both in Viewer - the first one will be overwritten)
Hello Christian,
just wanted to remind you of
http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=18300&highlight=#18259
it's not exactly a bug but rather an annoying feature, perhaps if you don't have the time to seperate the options you could just refresh the locked tab on startup even if noreread is turned on.
Cheers.

Sorry, I don't quite understand. Do you mean that it works only under Win98se, or that it doesn't work under win98se?Strogg wrote:Multi-rename tool doesn't remember last used options, during the session. Only under Win98se.
I have tested it on both Windows 2000 and Windows 98SE, and it works on both...
I delete only those files wich are marked with a red "x". Those are the files which exist only on the right side, which is the side of the backup in asymmetric mode. This was requested by multiple users: They want to make space for new files on the backup drive.Jon Canale wrote:For the asymmetric sync directory function, I'm not sure I like the idea of delete before copy. Indeed this isn't currently supported, sorry. I will add it to my wish list.WatchUer wrote:I'm using relative path in the button bar like %COMMANDER_PATH%\..\foobar2000\foobar2000.exe, but the right mouse popup menu item: cd %COMMANDER_PATH%\..\foobar2000\ doesn't work, it's a bug or feature in next version?
Indeed the function is currently only implemented for files. Why? Because the "open" function for dirs would open Explorer, and not work with Total Commander internally.Lefteous wrote:18.02.04 Added: Search: right click on result list item selects it and then shows its context menu
It works fine for files but not for directories.
Strange, works fine for me! Anyone else having this problem?Lefteous wrote:2.
Quickview from zip files doesn't work for me. I don't know if this has been reported previously. External lister from within zip file works fine.
This is clearly a very dangerous bug of the Windows XP listbox control - no other Windows version does this.eduha wrote:I think, it's not a bug, it's a very useful feature! Please, Mr. Ghisler, return this!Fixed: XP bug: double clicking on empty space below file list opened file under cursor (Reason: lb_getcaretindex doesnt return error in this case as on other Windows versions
This feature is currently only supported for copying, not for unzipping. Why? Because in most cases, directories aren't really stored in archives, just the relative path to the files. Users wouldn't understand why a dir date would be set in one case and not in another.Zerryk wrote:bug #1: when "Copy date/time of directories" is on, it does not function when unzipping a directory from archive
This is a known limitation, because all files are currently unpacked to the same temporary directory. This is done so the system isn't cluttered with hundreds of temp directories.Zerryk wrote:bug #2: cannot unzip&view (F3) more than one file with the same name (let have an archive containing "file.txt" and "folder\file.txt" and try to view them both in Viewer - the first one will be overwritten)

Sorry, I didn't yet have the time to separate these two features...

Found a bug in the internal ZIP unpacker. The directory structure is not unpacked with the ZIP file. Works like this:
- install Total Commander 6.02beta3
- download "http://miranda-im.org/download/feed.php?dlfile=326". Should get a file called "alicebot.zip".
- Enable the option "treat archives like folders"
- go into the "alicebot.zip" archive
- Mark all files
- Copy files to temp directory
The files are all located in the temp directory although most of them should be located in the "temp\alicebot" directory. Note: The directory IS created, but the files are not in it.

Loris

Hello !
• I don't confirm. That works just fine at home for me :
- Open <alicebot.zip>
- Mark all files AND <alicebot> sub-dir inside,
- Launch "Unzip" command (from a button in the toolbar),
• All files and <alicebot> sub-dir are unpacked in the target-dir in the other pannel,
• <alicebot> sub-dir contains alright all files *.aiml that it does.
- Win 98SE - P2 350 - SDRAM 320 MB.
• What OS are you using ?
Best regards,
Claude

Re: Don't confirm---
I'm using win2000 on a NTFS drive. Unzipping the file "y:\temp\alicebot.zip" to "y:\temp\a", so the filename-size should not really be a problem.Clo wrote:2lchiocca
