Right click menu no longer working in Windows 8

Post by *aatcman »

On one of my Windows 8 (32 bit) systems the right click menu in Total Commander 8 has stopped working. Attempting to access it just locks Total Commander. Updating to 8.01 does not correct the problem. Total Commander is still fine on another computer running Windows 8 which has most of the same other software. The right click menu is still fine on 'My Computer'.

Looks like you have a faulty Shell extension on the computer. They are rarely tested with anything else than Explorer, so it's not that uncommon for them to fail in TC.
Try ShellExView to isolate it and then either remove or reinstall it (sometimes it's enough).
