Feature request: change order in move-Queue

Post by *rubo77 »

i think the queue is the best new feqature ever! brilliant!

but when you copy many files with the queue at the moment it is impossible to add another file further up in the queue

but often this is important when you manage your harddisks and you need more space on one disk to continue the copy of the rest of the queue.

so please add the possibility to change order in the move-Queue.
(or the other option would be to start more different queues)

Indeed re-sorting the queue is planned - it's currently not done because it could cause problems when a transfer finishes while moving an item in the queue. With the "+" menu I'm solving this by halting all operations, but this is only a workaround...

To avoid problems, you could allow item moving only in paused mode ...

Yes, this would be a good solution, but most people wouldn't know about the move feature if it wasn't active in unpaused mode...

Mmm, the idea of rearranging items only when paused doesn't appeal to me...

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

the pause could be invisible. like the progress pauses, then the order is changed , and then the progress continues.
so it seems like the progress didnt stop at all

Just add an arrow-up and arrow-down button (no translation ;) )
While not paused let it disabled and enable it if paused ...

Boo, don't want to press three buttons to move something up one place...

17 years later Google accurately led me here. Any chance of this dream coming true? :)

Yes, but it is implemented differently.
You can use the mouse to drag and drop the entries to move them at the list.
