OK, here is a small feature request. I did some research in the forum and I didn't find anything related. And I think it could be useful in some cases.
How about having the choice of different file size configurations for the header and the footer?
What I mean is, you may want the footer to show file (and directory) size ALWAYS in kilobytes, BUT you may want the header to show them in a dynamic way (x.x k/M/G). This is useful fon instance to make room for the drives list in the header. In the current setup of Total Commander you can only choose the same display or the header and the footer.
What do you think?

Two displays---

Hello,
Configuration >> Options >> Tabstops
- You can choose two different size display modes, using the comboboxes:
Size display (header)
In footer

• No longer true for a long while; from <history.txt>:In the current setup of Total Commander you can only choose the same display or the header and the footer.
Code: Select all
New in Total Commander 5.50 Final (29.10.02):
- Change size display of total/marked files in footer below file lists (bytes, k or dynamic)
- You can choose two different size display modes, using the comboboxes:
Size display (header)
In footer

THREE displays :)
Hi, Clo, thanks for the reply.
Actually what I meant is to be able to choose one kind of display for the header and another kind of display for the footer.
As far as I could understand it (I may be wrong) the option in the Configuration -> Tabstops lets you choose one kind of display for the main pane (left and right) and another kind of display for the header AND the footer. I couldn't find a way to have the header display file size in one way and the footer to do that in another way.
This would translate into having THREE options in the configuration tab: one for the main pane (today it's called "Size display"), another one for the header and yet another one for the footer. In the current version of TC, "header/footer" have only one combobox for both.
Please corect me if I'm wrong and there is a setting that currently lets me do that.
regards,
Janus

Drive-headers---
2Janus
Hi again,
• Well, right, the current drives headers show the same than on the status-bar... That could be an inconvenience when using actual very big hard-disks, of course. I didn't think to that before, 'cause I've not such big hard-disks...
• Currently, except I mistake, I don't know any setting to change this.
* Like you said, a third scrolling-list might be added in the Tabstop options...
* To add in the Author's wish-list ...
Kind regards,
Claude
