Nice!

TrID stand for Trainable IDentifier.
The idea was to be able to add new filetype easyly, just scanning a bunch of file of a certain type, with the TrIDScan utility.

Bye!

I've been testing last version of Trid http://mark0.net/download/trid_w32.zip and CPU level is at 100% while Trid window is open even when file identification have finished. Thanks.

I see a much lower occupation, about 5-10% (in an iMac Core Duo), but it's definately too much for just waiting a key, right. I will check the issue and fix it in the next minor revision that's in the works.

Many thanks for the feedback,
Bye!

Scanning http://mark0.net/download/trid_w32.zip with last Kaspersky databases i got
trid_w32.zip\trid.exe;is a Trojan Backdoor.Win32.Agent.aec;23/07/2006 18:10:58
More info, (Detection added Jul 20 2006 06:16 GMT)

May anyone scan it with other antivirus soft to be sure that it's a false positive and not a Trojan ?, thanks.

It's not a virus / trojan, off course. Just a false positive (for some scanning engine).
A useful service that scan a file against a lot of antivirus / malware scanner is VIRUSTOTAL.
