Search for Linux on these forums, you'll find many links.
TC very probably won't be available for Linux unless some portability related problems in Kylix (~Delphi for Linux) are solved.

Older version of knoppix include Krusader, I don't know why it isn't anymore in the newer ones... But you may want to look at it. Krusader got some features TC hasn't but also the other way round (but we're working on it ;)) v1.40 is on the edge to be releasd

I'm afraid that's a pertinent observation...

Hoppala, sorry, how come I wrote that in German?
Anyways, thanks for the answer. :)

For the rest - the question was if Jonas is a developer of Krusader and his answer mainly was that he is not one of the main developers, he just contributed a part of code concerning the unified action system.

I've tried lots and lots of filemanagers for linux (my main os the last months) but they all pale compared to TC. Krusader is ok but it's just not fast enough. Tried installing TC under wine and it worked but it felt awkward.

Thinking about how many admins use TC I can only imagine the market for a linux version. It *is* possible to sell linux software too... but if there is insurmountable technical issues I guess there's nothing to do about it. I check in on this forum a couple of times a week looking hopefully for info on a linux version so I haven't lost all hope yet :)

Quality software have no problems surviving in the OSS world, look at Opera (browser), they charge for both windows and linux licenses and you can't use one on both and they're doing well. Ok, probably not from linux alone (mostly embedded architectures) but still...

Aight, I'll resurface again in 5-6 months when the next post asking for a linux version is posted :)
