Drag & drop a file to a custom button

Hi guys, I get a little annoying problem (TC 6.01, but this happens also in previous versions):
when I drag & drop a file from right/left panel to a "custom" button in the button bar to pass it as a parameter, the configured application starts but it gets the "short" filename 8.3... This filename is shown for example in the title bar as xxxx~1.xxx and when i.e. you click the save as... you'll get the short filename and that is a little annoying.

You can reproduce the behavior with the write.exe (default) button...

BUT, some applications like notepad or winword seems not to be affected.

Is there a method to drag & drop "always" the "long" filename or this is an old minor bug?

BTW, with "regular" drag & drop (without %P%N) it is strange to get some short names...
