Missing View Lister in Context Menu

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Missing View Lister in Context Menu

Post by *VicByrd »

I've been using TC for as long as I can remember. Just clean installed Windows 10 TP and subsequently TC 8.51a. View Lister seems to be missing in context menu ONLY when in the Desktop folder. Just thought I'd mention it.

BTW, I'd be lost without this product. It's Golden!

This is no bug but intentional (I guess). TC's context menu like "View (Lister)" and "Pack Files" entries are not available in virtual folders like \\Desktop, \\Control Panel, \\Computer and so on.

Yes, the problem is that there are no functions to read directly from files in virtual folders. In some like the Desktop it is possible to get the real location of the file and read from there, but this doesn't work in devices (e.g. Android or iPhone) where the file isn't present on the PC. The only functions which work in this case are "copy" and "cut" (together with "paste").
