Tooltips on hotlist/history buttons
I am extremely annoyed by the tooltips on directory hotlist and history buttons. I learned what the buttons are for. Now I want the tooltips gone. At least optionally.
A workaround...

• You can remove the significant part of the corresponding rows in the language file, like:
1537=""
1538=""
* You may keep the texts (under the section) with a semi-colon at each line-start like shown below.
; Historic… -1537-
; Dir. Hotlist …-1538-
• Save the file !
• If you use English, you must add an English Language file, since it's embedded by default in the EXE. Then, choose this English file in the Options... I could send one to you if needed. Or else, you may get one from:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/charries/relais/patching.htm >> included in the pack m-extra.zip
• Of course, no problem if you use any other language-file …
• In any case, close / restart TC to reload the modified language file.

Thanks Clo, it works but I don't like it. First, I use english (hard-coded) strings which makes tc load faster and I am not willing to change that. Second, new versions will come with new language files and I would have to edit that file every time. I still want a normal way to turn those two tooltips off. I believe that history and hotlist buttons should behave like updir and rootdir buttons above them (and seven buttons on the bottom)...

Hello !
• Currently, I didn't find any option to disable the program interface buttons info-balloons, except for the Network drives and for the user's buttons of the bar(s).
• So, an extra tick-box'ld be needed in the "Display" options dialog-box; there is free space enough to add a row there.
* For the Author's wish-list... ?
Kind regards,
Claude
