Functions in the TiTle Bar? (Wbx?)

Post by *islogged »

Hi (first sorry for english)

Long time ago i used wbx plugins to add CPU, RAM and others informations in the Title bar of TC. I abandoned it because i think it was not so stable !

Now i try again Total Commander Ultimate Prime http://tcup.pl/ and i saw this function was integrated without major problems on it !

For this time the official forum of TC UP is down (MyBB SQL Error)
Anyway i think they use TCUPTurbo program now for do this !

Then my question is : how i can integrate this function on my own Total Commander ?

Any ideas ?
Thank You for Help !

To my knowledge, TCUPTurbo use "TC UP" so you will not be able to use it without installing TC UP (launcher + config files + tcup turbo) An Alternative is to use powerpro or auto hotkey and build your own title bar addon...

There are no WBX plugin type for TC, only WDX, WCX, WFX and WLX.

However as nsp stated, many external tools may be used to change window titles.

The wbx plugin interface was never internally implemented by Christian Ghisler. Even if the name seems to be like wcd wdx wlx it is not an official plugin interface. The implementation was done through a launcher an added a lot of instability and can be considered as abandoned. TC UP is handling an advanced title configuration with tags but like for WBX.EXE it is done with a launcher. The background processes can be now handled with dedicated WDX (autorun)!

Ah, thanks, I never heard about such a dinosaur before (I've come a year later). As I thought, even if it exists it is unofficial.
Links are dead so I can't look into it. But it seems that just any external tool does just the same.

Ok, i looked that a little bit ... but it seem take a lot of time to learn about these tools, and i'm not sure i have any time for only change that ^^
Also i'm not really sure i can get the live CPU and RAM usage with these kind of tools (didn't to find how)

I tried also more easy way with Camper and Captime ...
Captime was promising : "Future version will include additional parameters, like free memory, and other things I might think of."

I checked the homepage of the project and :
"Captime 1.46: A most minor update. As you've probable figured up, I hardly update any more. That is because I have a girlfriend, a proper job and such. You know, life."

So Sad /:

Yeah i saw this link in my search also ...

Anyway i decided to re-use the TCUP system for my own TC 'cause it have already a GUI to dynamic change variables and it seem already fully functional ...

I unpack and change the bin, i think it's not allowed ('ve copyright) but it's just for me, not for distribute ('cause the original dont work with TC64bits) but now it fixed ;) : http://i.imgur.com/lMI435L.jpg

For now it seem stable, will'see on more use ...
Anyway thanks for All
