[wish list] Synch Dirs new functions

Post by *Valentino »

Christian and all, what do you think about adding the following new commands to right-click menu in Synch Dirs window:

Hide files (selected)
Hide this dir (selected) with all its files

Hiding means excluding from synchronization, i.e. the same as "Remove selection" command, but it allows to make list more clear. I would find this command very convenient when synchronizing big folders.

BTW, I discovered new (for me) function - right click on a dir (Synch Dirs window) selects all files of this dir. Quite handy! But it's quite slow when clicking on a big folder. Christian, is it inavoidable to scroll list while selecting all these files? I think it would be faster if you just select all files without scrolling.

I too recently discovered a new function while browsing through TC's help file, which probably not many people know. Right-clicking on the <F8 Delete> button you get the recycle bin context menu! (sorry for being of topic!)

Valentino's idea is a good thing. If there was a possibility to store such selection in some file - it would be even better (storing which directories with all contents or which specific files should be excluded )
:-)

Well, it can be functional in some cases since the bar's task is not just of the informative nature but consists of clickable buttons.

As for me the only reason for having it active is for clicking on the copy/move buttons when my file selection is purely relying upon mouse usage and nothing more. Yes, I could have created two buttons on the button bar but I guess I'm a bit lazy! ;)

Sorry for one more time for being of topic!
