Sync Dirs already has a basic filter in its drop-down Wildcards field.
Help says that "Predefined filters aren't supported at this time", so it's
possibly somewhere on a to-do list. If "Predefined filters" will be implemented, I suggest
to include filelists, created using Ctrl+C in Sync Dirs, and maybe in
formats acceptable in other TC tools.
In case with active "Subdirs" and "by content" checkboxes, it will be a time-saver, because
it will allow user to exclude from comparing some groups of files or directories that are not easy or even possible
to cover by wildcards.
A basic feature from "Find files" to define a level of subdirectories can be also added to Sync Dirs.

The problem is that they may be true for the left side but not for the right, or vice versa. For example, a filter >2MB would be problematic if the left file is 3MB and the right only 1 MB.

Re: Sync Dirs: Filelists and subdir level selector as filters
Sorry for reviving such an old thread but i came here today to propose just that. This is not the first time i needed it. It would be a useful addition.DrShark wrote: 2015-11-02, 14:01 UTCA basic feature from "Find files" to define a level of subdirectories can be also added to Sync Dirs.
A solution to that could be to have separate filters for left and right sides. Would be more flexible and interesting...ghisler(Author) wrote: 2015-11-05, 14:05 UTC The problem is that they may be true for the left side but not for the right, or vice versa.
