In Win10 I noticed the tabs seem to blend together. You (well...I) have to squint to see the thin line separating them.
Turning off Flat Icons for drive buttons doesn't make them 'look' like buttons but does a good job of rendering them as separate objects.
Was looking for some tweak to do the same with the tabs. On Win7 the tabs seem to have a gradient as well as distinctive dark lines separating them.

Are you using a display with high resolution? Currently the tabs only use a single line to separate them, which will be very thin on high resolution screens.

That's how the default Windows 10 theme looks. It's one of the places where Microsoft prefers look over usability...
