Thread-saftey of filesystem plugins

I want to suggest a thread-safety flag for the filesystem plugin interface to allow plugin based background operations (like SFTP or WebDAV up-/downloads).

I'm indeed considering to add exactly this. Older plugins which wouldn't have the flag (or a movetobackground function or so) couldn't be moved to the background and would have to be updated.
