I guess it won't happen at least until following will not be solved somehow:

There used to be, but the last two or three major versions went directly to public beta test, so I expect the same for TC 9.

I am a member of the old beta test board - and there is no activity there.

Yes, it will be a public beta test. Currently I'm still adding new features, like Unicode support in descript.ion files (UTF-8 and UTF-16). I still haven't found a good solution for the per folder colors/tab icons etc. The beta test will not start before next spring.

Sorry, but we not talking about games.
A screenshot does not give any useful information at all.
The only helpfull thing is starting the public beta as soon as possible.

Regarding the need for an icon editor, have you tried/tested Axialis Icon Workshop?
