themed Cursor + ctrl+c

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

themed Cursor + ctrl+c

Post by *Samuel »

When pressing ctrl+c with themed Cursor the current file is marked for a very short time. Then it is back to normal.

Select a file and press ctrl+c, ctrl+c, ctrl+c, ctrl+c, ctrl+c, ctrl+c, ctrl+c, ctrl+c, ctrl+c to reproduce. :D

Yes, this is normal, not just for themed cursor. TC selects the file when nothing is selected and a function requires selected files/folders.

I just tried to reproduce this behaviour in TC8.5.
There the current file is not marked as it is in TC9b.

But why is the selection flickering in TC9b? - TC8.5 is fine.

You will see the same effect in TC 8.5 if you use the inverted cursor. Otherwise TC just redraws the cursor frame, which flickers far less and doesn't redraw the text (so no red text).

You are right. TC 9 is fine without the new themed cursor.
Perhaps you may look into the flickering of the inverted cursors later.
