[TC9b5 x86] Rubberband selection move/copy marked file
If you mark one single file with the rubberband selection and the cursor is not over the filename you cannot drag&drop the file by moving the marked line - a new rubberband selection starts.
Sometimes it works, but if you mark another file it doesn´t again.
In Explorer it always works this way.

I do not understand your report. TC works like this: Drag&Drop starts either when file where the drag starts is selected, or when you click on the name. Otherwise rubberband selection starts.

Buttercreme,
In TC file has to be selected, not focused, in order to start dragging.
If a file is selected, it may be dragged by its empty space right to name (within column). If a file is only focused, dragging empty space starts new rubber band selection.
Explorer always starts new rubberband selection when you dragging an empty space right to filenames outside selection rectangle.

OK, understood.
As you wrote, all selected files are working correct.
But if I want to select only one file than it´s only focused and not selected and so the rubberband selection starts.
In Explorer one marked file is also automatically selected and therefore the drag is working instantly.
Maybe it´s a suggestion to create an option always to select one single file automatically to get the drag&drop working?

It's currently neither fish nor fowl. It's not a 100% imitation of Explorer behavior but also not something that's fit into the way TC selection works. Both would be better than the curent approach.

Buttercreme,
Do you use full view mode in TC? Explorer only allows dragging empty space next to file in table mode, not list. I think it would be better in TC to allow dragging text in all columns, not obnly filename... Currently TC starts selection when you start dragging focused (not selected) file everywhere except filename.

Files are not selected by default when you click on them. That's as if you Ctrl+Click on the selection in Explorer - there is an empty frame cursor now. When you drag inside of that, the rubberband selection will start too.
