Yes, I also still think it would be a good idea to except symlinks/hardlinks/junctions from the exclamation mark/dimmed feature - because it does look weird on those links links - at least the exclamation mark does..

Not sure what you are getting at with the screenshot, but if the dimmed status bothers you, you can disable it in TC's settings. On the other hand, I find it quite confusing that both dimmed AND the exclamation mark are enabled by default. IMO TC should enable only one of these setting by default.

I just wanted to show the current state for comparison purposes (with dimmed hidden files enabled).Dalai wrote:2tuska

For me, the view is now totally fine, exept the icons for symlinks/hardlinks/junctions.

Yes. As Peter stated in another thread the issue arises only when the junctions have hidden and/or system attribute. By default this is true only for the symlinks and junctions that were created by Windows setup, but not the ones you create yourself (regardless of the way you create them). Since there are so many of them on a Windows installation, especially in the Users directory, it's worth to think about how to make them look better with the new overlay. But that's something more fitting in the other thread I created.
