I saw many improvements in TC9.
This is why I consider a small bug the following statement:
I start TC without administrative rights.
%USERPROFILE% is accesible.
I expect admin password request when I want to acces from TC the %USERPROFILE% of Administrator Folders (%systemdrive%\Users\Admin\Desktop) - AS WINDOWS EXPLORER.
I am the administrator and it's obvious that I have the right to see those folders.
I know, it is not a real bug, but I expect from TC9 this feature.

I don't understand what is wrong. If folder is accessible w/o administrator rights, TC shows its contents, otherwise it asks for elevation because it can't read folder contents.
%USERPROFILE% folder is always accessible because it is the profile folder of a user who started program, and this folder is always readable/writable for that user. And I've never seen Explorer elevation requests on reading %USERPROFILE% folder.
BTW if TC shows something that it shouldn't show because it requires some permissions, it is not a TC bug, it is a system security bug or wrong configuration, because TC only can read what it is allowed to be read.

MVV, thank you.MVV wrote:I don't understand what is wrong. If folder is accessible w/o administrator rights, TC shows its contents, otherwise it asks for elevation because it can't read folder contents.

I expect that TC to be better than Explorer and some operation as COPY/RENAME/DELETE to be processed into TC with UAC interaction even when TC is not started as Administrator.
For example, now if I want to copy a setting file in PROGRAM FILES I use Copy/Paste Shell inside TC instead Copy (F5). I am the administrator and I provide the password and It's ok. Why not to do this operation with TC with a check box checked "As Administrator".
If I want to delete a file from protected folders as Program Files, FROM TC, a window is open with title "File Acces Denied" and there is wrote by system: "You'll need to provide administrator permision to delete this file". This is how I expect to see to all common commands.

Well, it is different from what you've written in first post.
TC does support requesting for elevation when user has no enough permissions, just press As Administrator button and confirm UAC request or enter administrator password. When you copy file to write-protected folder, or when you delete something from write-protected folder, TC shows an error message with As Administrator button.
So the difference between TC and Explorer within this topic is exact error message text, TC shows direct error text (returned by Windows API) while Explorer tells that you need to provide administrator permission and shows object owner name if administrator still has no rights... That should be in the first post.
And this topic should be moved out from bugs section...
