Hi teachers,
I have used TC for a long time, really great software.
I usually do data recovery, so I meet lots of file formats everyday.
The TC plugin ulister helped me a lot.
But lots of other people do not know how to use TC, TC is so difficult to them.
So I want to know is there a standalone file viewing software using Oracle Outside in like ulister?
I know there are a lot of file viewers, but none of them using Outside in, and they have lots of system requirements.
So if you know ther is one standalone file viewing software using Oracle Outside in like ulister please tell me, thanks a lot!
Sorry for bad English!
Is there a standalone software like ulister?

There is Universal Viewer which can use TC plugins.
It works fine with the x86 ULister plugin.

Simple soluction:
Lister standalone freeware
http://www.ghisler.com/lister/
External version of Total Commander's built-in viewer, only 483k.
And you can add lister plugins (wlx), including ULister:
Options - Configure - LS-plugins
An old application, but fast and you can view almost everything!

Re: Is there a standalone software like ulister?
Is there an updated version of Lister? Lister32 will not allow adding Ulister plugin because Ulister is .wlx64.
A standalone version would be REALLY helpful because I could create desktop icons to list specific files.
As always, greatly appreciated!

Download the 32-bit version of uLister. Then you can add it to standalone Lister. However, the recommended way to use Lister is to start TC with /S=L parameter - which will automatically make all installed plugins available.

You don't really need a standalone Lister anymore, you can just use the command line parameter /S=L to totalcmd.exe / totalcmd64.exe
Here is a . lnk file to open TC's history.txt in Lister if TC is installed in C:\totalcmd - https://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/Lister-history.txt.zip
Here is a . lnk file to open TC's history.txt in Lister if TC is installed in %Programfiles% - https://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/Lister-history.txt(2).zip

As you can see - you can even choose which plugin to use - in case more than one applies to the file type. For example /S=L:Pulister filenameHelp wrote: /S=L
Start Lister directly, pass file name to it for viewing (requires full name including path). May include bookmark in html files, e.g. c:\test\test.html#bookmark
Accepts additional parameters separated by a colon, e.g. /S=L:AT1C1250
A ANSI/Windows text
S ASCII/DOS text
V Variable width text
T1..T8 View mode 1-8 (1: Text, 2: Binary, 3: Hex, 4: Multimedia, 5: HTML, 6: Unicode, 7: UTF-8, 8: Explorer Preview)
C<nr> Codepage, e.g. C1251 for Cyrillic
N Auto-detect, but no multimedia or plugins allowed
P<x> As LAST parameter: Choose plugin, e.g. /S=L:Piclview for iclview plugin (As shown in Lister title)
