[9.0 RC4 x64] "Find files" window is hidden
I have got a monitor which is connected to my laptop.
I have did the next scenario:
- i move Total Commander window to the screen of my monitor
- click to "Commands / Search ..."
- drag & drop this "Find files" window to the window of Total Commander
- drag & drop this "Find files" window fully to the top of other screen and release left mouse to maximize this window
The result:
"Find files" window is hidden, only the 16×16 icon of window is seen which is in the left side of title bar of "Find Files" window.

NOT confirmed, just tried it here on Windows 7 x64. It snaps just fine to the top of either the primary or the secondary screen. Which Windows version do you use?

Edit: I have just tested with Windows 10 x64 (Anniversary update):
Dragging the search window to the top of either the main or secondary screen correctly maximizes the window in both cases. The width is maximized, and the height remains the same.
My Windows 10 Notebook/Tablet convertible uses internal Intel graphics. All I can imagine now is that the display driver on your system has some kind of bug.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, please do! I made further tests with the secondary screen on the left instead of the right side, and even different DPI on secondary screen, but it always worked as it should. Maybe I simply misunderstand your instructions...

Thanks - this really looks like a bug on AeroSnap function - when you re-open the dialog, it is maximized correctly.
Maybe it's because the two displays have different size and are bottom-aligned? Could you - just for testing - align the two to the top border?

Left screen is: 1920x1200
Right screen is: 1366x768
I aligned the top border of the right screen to the top border of the left screen.
Unfortunately i got the same result like in the captured videos.
A picture about the arrangement of displays.
Edit:
If you want to, i would test a custom debug (x86/x64) build with pleasure.

Unfortunately I could not reproduce it after many tries.
1. Does the same happen when you just double click on the title bar? This should also maximize the window.
2. Do you get the problem also with TC 8.52a final?

If i double click on the title bar, the window maximizing works fine in TC 9.0 RC5.1. Does the same happen when you just double click on the title bar? This should also maximize the window.
I did not encounter this problem in TC 8.52a final, when i tried to maximize with drag & drop feature.2. Do you get the problem also with TC 8.52a final?
Double click worked as same than in TC 9.0 RC5.

The only difference between TC 8.52a and TC 9 in this regard is that TC8 didn't limit the width of the search dialog when maximized, while TC 9 limits it to 32000 pixels. This was necessary because otherwise it didn't maximize correctly on Windows 10. My guess is that your display driver has troubles with the size 32000 pixels (too big?) and fails to properly adjust the size.
All I can do is recommend you to maximize the window with a double click instead. I could try smaller sizes, but who knows when 32000 becomes viable. That would be just 8 4k displays side by side...

Could you try also the 32-bit version? I have limited the max. width to 16000 Pixels in the 32-bit version, and 31900 in the 64-bit version.
