LAN Plugin 2.01 Wrong Timestamp when Copying Files via WLAN
Good Morning,
I've activated in LAN-plugin the extended option "Eigenschaften / Verbindungen via Telefon" because I need to exchange files via GSM and VPN connection.
Copying files via GSM and VPN preserve timestamps. Perfect.
When copying files via WLAN the destination files get actual time and date.
Deactivating the option above (which is the default setting) perserves timestamp via WLAN.
Is this a bug or default behaviour?

The plugin calls smb.setLastModified(time) independent from this option, so something on the server side (maybe a virus scanner) must be interfering. Since connections via GSM are much slower, the scanner has more time to scan a file after upload.

Thank for your quick response.
The server I mentioned is a Windows Homeserver 2003.
But the problem is also confirmed with other devices in my LAN.
I've made some additional tests.
If the target is the extern SD-Card, timestamp is correct.
If the target is the internal memory, timestamp is wrong and shows exactly the current time.
Screenshot is available on request.
Do you have any ideas?
Thank you very much and enjoy a Happy New Year

Here are some additional informations.
This behaviour seems not to be a problem of LAN-plugin.
It also occures when copying files between sdCard0 and extSdCard with TC.
Copy sdCard0 to extSdCard timestamp OK
Copy extSdCard to sdCard0 timestamp ERR
And now the very best:
Using the onbard tool "Eigene Dateien" the copy process has wrong timestamp in both directions!!
I give up for this year...

Ah, you mean downloading from LAN! I thought that you meant uploading with the LAN plugin to the server. The latter works just fine, the former doesn't work on newer Android versions due to a bug in Android. See for example this bug report:

I use the Lan (Windows Shares) plugin, to transfer from a Windows 10 x64 PC to an Android 7 phone, transfer photos and videos. If they use copy or move, the date and time of photos are not kept, but if they use "Download + Open with" they are kept.
The problem is: I can download only one file at a time. I have over 1,000 files to transfer from my PC to my phone. Can you write how can I transfer multiple files (folders) at one time?
PLS help!
Thank you.
Stefan

That's odd, "Dowload+Open with" uses the same function as "copy". Maybe it depends on the destination? Android doesn't usually allow to set/copy the file timestamp.
