Hi there,
After finally beginning to use my new system I wondered why TC doesn't show icons for executables on my B: drive while Explorer does. After figuring out that it depends on a setting to not show icons for EXE/LNK on floppies I remembered that this has been discussed before.
I have found these threads (and I'm sure there are some more)
Drive letter B: Icons unit only 'standard' icons?
TC doesn't show executable files icons on B: drive
B not always floppy
The second is in "Behavior which will not be changed" section, and the third is almost 10 years old!
But come on, seriously? We have 2017 and TC still treats drives A: and B: as floppies? Why is that? Why doesn't TC use the information it already has - because it's showing the correct drive icon (HDD icon in my case) - to determine whether or not to show icons for executables in this drive?
For me this is kind of a bug, but I guess there's a reason it's designed this way, so I posted it as a suggestion.
Note: It's not an option for me to disable "EXE/LNK not on floppy" because sometimes I connect and use an external floppy drive.
Regards
Dalai
