Synchronize directories as an independant thread

Post by *ruymbeke »

Hi,

1) I would like to have the "Synchronize directories" window
as an independant thread so I can still continue to use
Total Commander to launch programs and continue to work.
And I basically need to lauch a other TotalCommander.

2) When I lauch a big compare/synchronize, the windows
are almost dead: no refresh, no move , ...
Would it be possible to add bandwith limitation ?

3) It would be nice to have the option to launch more than one
of this tool/window, in case you have more than directory/drive
to synchronize.

4) A nice way to implement it, would be to actually transfert
the list of work to the pipe of the transfert manager,
so it would be possible to reorder the tasks, stop, pause
and limit the bandwith to keep some cpu cycles for something else ...

Thanks, Gilles

I wanted to create a new thread, but found this one...
I would also like such feature as working Synchronize Directories dialog in parallel with the TC itself. I often need to compare folders and to synchronize them by hand. In current release it is impossible without running an additional instance of TC...
