search results (after feeding them to listbox) in new tab?

Post by *patrickdrd »

Is there any way/option to open
search results (after feeding them to listbox) in new tab?

is would be much more convenient that way,
because switching from one result to the next isn't

You can create a ViewMode with Auto-run command: cm_OpenNewTab

.. or you can create a ViewMode with title "Search" with Auto-run command: cm_OpenNewTab
and an Auto Switch Mode with rule: S: Search result ... Set this mode: Search

If you click on button "Feed to listbox" a new tab "Search result:" is automatically opened.

The best is to use "background search" [Alt]+[Shift]+[F7] TC will stay open side to the search and do not close the search when feeding listbox. If you use it a lot you can also reassign normal keystroke or take the habit to press [shift]...

With this you will be able to do multiple search and feed as much tab as you want using [shift] when clicking Feed to listbox button or [Alt]+[Shift]+[L].

Mark the folder in the search results, then press down and hold SHIFT-key and click on button "Go to file".
A new tab with this folder is opened.

Is this what you want?

It's the same as you would normally open a directory/folder in a new tab: Press Ctrl+Up to open it in a new tab on the same side, Ctrl+Shift+Up to open it in a new tab on the opposite side.
