Find files using plugin values comparison
Forgive me if I'm asking for something that's been asked before but a search for "compare plugin values" did not return anything related to my thought...
When doing "Find files" using plugin values, is it possible to enter another plugin's value in the "value" field so that only files where the 2 plugin value match or do not match (depending on the operator) would end up in the final list? For example, show me only files where tc.WriteDate != exif.DateOriginal in the final list so I can figure out why the file was altered. Rough example, but you get the idea?
Thanks!

Re: Find files using plugin values comparison
Hi and welcome.
after a first search you can click at [Feed to listbox]
which give you a filtered file list
which you can search again by a second property.
HTH?
longest time frame btw between joining and posting I ever have seen, wonder that you still know the login credential lol
Not a direct way like that, butEvilTwin wrote:...

Maybe like it works in the "Change attributes" dialog:How would that work?
If you in that dialog choose a plugin, you can click the "+" button and set the value to an output from another plugin.
See: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/doubleplugin.png
It would be nice if we could do something similar in the "Find files" dialog - like this:

I can support the introduction of such an option in the "Find files" very much - actually missed it the other day.

How would you perform a comparison like:
[=tc.writedate] != [=exif.DateOriginal]
using" More rules"

Thanks for trying It did try manually entering a plugin field name as you showed on the "change attributes" screenshot, but it did not work. So I'm guessing this is something that would have to be added as a new feature?
I did actually use that same trick in the "change attributes" screen to reset writedate to the exif.dateoriginal field on quite a few pictures where Windows screwed the date up to the date of the import, and it worked so very well (with a few exceptions).
